Liverpool is at a crossroads. The digital & creative; health & life sciences; and innovation sectors are now major employers, alongside advanced manufacturing, food & drink and the visitor economy. Energy has also been identified as a key sector, including tidal energy.
Liverpool has negotiated its own City Deal; Steve Rotheram was voted the first Metro Mayor of Liverpool City Region; and the opening of Liverpool2 at the Port of Liverpool has raised the region's profile on a global stage.
IFB 2018 takes place in June but what is the long-term future of the city region? How important are clusters to the region's economy and who are the companies and the enablers to make that happen?
What role have the universities got in creating a centre of excellence for digital, creative and technology and does the city have the right property and infrastructure in place?
BusinessCloud's latest business breakfast event - 'What's the future of Liverpool City Region?' - will ask these questions and many more. We'll shine a light on some of the region's best companies and look at what needs to happen next.
